11.11.2008 — Wayne-Dalton has added the Teleport Audio-Visual Remote Control to its Home Control product line.

It's a combination Z-Wave and infrared (IR) remote control that can manage A/V equipment, as well as a Z-Wave home control network.

Teleport can create and trigger up to 20 pre-set Z-Wave scenes or control any of the 232 modules that can exist on a Z-Wave home control network.

Areas it can control include:

• Lights
• Window coverings
• Thermostats
• Small appliances
• CD players
• DVD players
• TVs and settop boxes

"Teleport augments our home controls line by providing access to some of the most important components in a home – the home theatre A/V equipment," says Jeff Franklin, executive VP of Wayne-Dalton.

"Teleport offers homeowners efficient control of all their home electronics from one easy-to-use remote."

Pricing for the Teleport Audio-Visual Remote Control has not been announced.
