Vutec Hosts Russian Dealers for Two-day Training
Screenmaker updates international dealers on specifying and install techniques.
Vutec recently hosted a group of 16 Russian dealers for a two-day training course at its training center in Pompano Beach, Fla.
Directed by Vutec’s director of international sales, Melba Proctor, the class covered product specifying, proper installation techniques, system integration, technical product overviews and general operations.
The training focused on the Vutec brand and the company’s Vision X brand of projection screens and accessories.
The feedback was positive. Andrey Ganzin from Moscow-based Intelsound was most awed by Vutec’s new SoundScreen.
“I was very impressed in this weave that eliminates moiré automatically and transmits sound to its maximum quality,” he says.
Natalya Korneva, of Eldorado Company, also of Moscow, says, “Business in the video projection screen arena is on the upswing in Russia, and especially in Moscow.
"Vutec’s product line, especially for its premier Vision X products, is doing very well in Moscow, which has become increasingly affluent, even more so than New York City.”
“What’s wonderful about a group such as this is that they’re so eager to advance their knowledge of our products, and that they’re so loyal to Vutec in their home country,” says Howard Sinkoff, Vutec’s president.
Twelve of the trainees reside in Moscow, two are based in Novosibirsk, one from Kursk, one from the Samara region and one from Syzran.
Nikolay Sokol of OOO A-T Audio, brand manager for A&T Trade, headed the group.
