Students of the St. Bridget School offer their best to the troops of Camp Virginia in Kuwait by signing this shipping container holding a Vutec video projection screen.

10.10.2008 — POMPANO Beach, Fla. — Vutec Corporation has contributed a large video projection screen for the troops at Camp Virginia in Kuwait. The U.S. base is located 45 minutes west of Kuwait City, with a population of up to 2,500 troops.

Howard Sinkoff, Vutec's president, did not hesitate to the request when asked by the company's Account Manager, Mike Shaffer and Jay Dobensky, of Advanced Home Audio and Video in Wolcott, Connecticut. Dobensky is a Vutec dealer who earlier this year visited Kuwait as part of the new television show, "Man Caves," which airs on the Do It Yourself network. The show asked Dobensky to convert and equip a twenty-two by thirty-six foot room at the USO facility there into a top-shelf Cinema for the troops. He led a team that was given only days to complete the job. Dobensky proudly led the building of a Cinema with three levels of seating.

After a last-minute change in the projector for the project, Dobensky realized he needed a different large projection screen than the one he had originally spec'ed, so he contacted Vutec for a Vutec projection screen, and the request was granted immediately. The Vutec screen, which has an easy to assemble frame, is installer friendly and of high quality, was shipped immediately to Kuwait, with the well wishes of hundreds of students from the St. Bridget School written on the long white shipping container. Dobensky's son Thomas attends the school.

"We're proud of the fact that our products are made in the USA," said Vutec's Howard Sinkoff, "and we're even prouder of our troops serving abroad who keep us safe at home. This was a duty as far as we were concerned, and we hope our troops have many relaxing hours enjoying their favorite movies."
