VizionWare Awarded Patent for Reducing EMI Emissions
With several other technologies pending approval, the Texas-based company will look to protect its position within the interconnect category.
VizionWare has secured a patent aimed to protect several technologies used in the design and production of its line of digital interconnects and adapters, specifically VizionWare's "Method and System of Reducing Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Emissions."
The patent is one of several pending with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
The patent (US pat. 7305020) granted refers to a system developed by VizionWare for spreading the energy associated with digital signals being transmitted, resulting in lower EMI emissions. After being transmitted, the technology allows for the recovery of the original digital signal, which is supplied to a destination device.
"Having the USPTO recognize this method for reducing EMI emissions only strengthens VizionWare's commitment in developing unique technologies and applications," says Ken Egan, founder and chief technical officer for VizionWare.
VizionWare has four other patent pending properties, including Skew Management in Cables and Other Interconnects (11/519237), Bidirectional Active Signal Management in Cables and Other Interconnects (11/519235), Encoding and Deserialization/Serialization for Digital Signals (11/519210), Active Signal Management in Cables and Other Interconnects (11/519192) and Method and Apparatus for Conversion between Quasi Differential Signaling and True Differential Signaling (11/518862).
