Vanco Extender Developed in Conjunction with Wyrestorm
The new Vanco Powered by Wyrestorm HDMI Over Category 5e Cable Extender products can be used in residential and commercial A/V installations that require HDMI signals to be distributed over long distances.
To better ensure the highest levels of performance for its latest signal transmission solution the Batavia, Ill.-based company Vanco teamed with Wyrestorm to develop the new HDMI transmission product, which Vanco says is capable of sending 1080p video signals as far as 131 feet over a single cable. Some of the features built into the unit include the ability to automatically adjust feedback, equalization and amplification, as well as EDID DIP switches on the transmitter to facilitate communication between source and display devices.
Vanco also points out the product is fully cascadable to allow electronics professionals to create large distribution systems. The Vanco Powered by Wyrestorm HDMI Over Category 5e Cable Extender supports 1080p, 3D and audio formats such as DTS HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD. In addition, to further ensure the product’s reliability, Vanco incorporates electrostatic discharge (ESD) technologies to protect against static build up which can damage circuitry.
