Special forum on dealer-only Web site lets custom installation professionals network and exchange information about employment opportunities.
11.21.2008 — Universal Remote Control wants to make sure that its customers keep working.
The manufacturer of remote controls has added an employment section called Hook Ups to "
URC Control Room," a Web site for URC dealers.
"Our goal is to help installers keep installing," says URC director of marketing Jon Sienkiewicz.
The Web site makes it clear that dealers cannot use Hook Ups for slamming employers or trying to "trade up" to a better job.
Instead, Hook Ups is a "special forum where custom installation professionals can network and exchange information about employment opportunities," according to the site.
Let's face facts: things are getting tough out there, and some big retailers are closing up shop. URC wants to do its part to help YOU stay in the industry -- and help you hook up with a company that may need that special programming or installation talent you possess.
Ever aware of the recession, URC introduced earlier this year the $249 full color
MX-450, which has thrived during the slow economy.
That’s what she said.
