Authorized URC dealers can program the MX-890 universal remote control with the company’s Complete Control Program (CCP) and they can augment the remotes capabilities through the addition of solutions like MRX-1, RFX-250, MRF-350 and MRF-260 RF base station products.

For years the N.Y.-based manufacturer URC has served the custom installation market as a go-to provider of control solutions. The company’s latest product, the new MX-890 universal remote control expands URC’s line of Complete Control solutions, and it can be used for just about any residential control situation.

URC says the versatile MX-890 can support as many as 200 devices and it incorporates a two-inch color LCD screen that can be customized via the company’s Complete Control Program (CCP) with graphics for six buttons per screen to allow a variety of users to comfortably operate the remote on a daily basis.

“URC offers the most comprehensive full-color remote control lineup in the industry,” states Doug Cole, senior vice president and general manager, URC. “The MX-890 was developed as a result of our dealers’ input regarding rounding out the line. With this latest addition to the Complete Control series, our dealers can choose from a variety of full-color remotes that perfectly suit any installation scenario, client need or budget they may encounter.”

The remote can be used for one-way communication in home theaters and media rooms; lighting control and other electronics systems installations. URC points out the MX-890 features a combination of hard and soft keys that allow users fast access to functions such as power, channel up/down and device navigation. The Harrison, N.Y.-based company adds that dealers can also combine the MX-890 with other URC products like its MRX-1, RFX-250, MF-350 and MRF-260 to provide homeowners with a powerful control solution that utilizes IR and RF technologies to support the control of devices through walls and other barriers.
