Tri-Ed/Northern Video Acquires SGI
Tri-Ed/Northern Video Distribution continues its buying spree by acquiring Security General International, a 13-branch distributor in the Southwest.
Continuing its “buy and build” growth strategy, Tri-Ed/Northern Video continues to expand its footprint in North America. The acquisition of SGI and its 13 branch locations establishes a presence for Tri-Ed/Northern Video in six new cities - Fort Worth and McAllen, Texas, Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Okla., Albuquerque, N.M. and Orange, Calif.
Woodbury, N.Y.-based Tri-Ed/Northern Video Distribution now has 54 locations in the U.S. and Canada. In the past two years, the the company has made several other acquisitions, including Seabreeze Security Distribution, Video Security Specialists, and SDC Distribution.
Tri-Ed was acquired by Audax Investment Group in April 2012.

He is also a former board member of the Alarm Industry Research and Educational Foundation. He is currently a member of the CEDIA Education Action Team for Electronic Systems Business.
