The Ultimate Guide to Mounts and Lifts
A guide to fixed, tilt, articulating and motorized flat panel mounts and lifts, providing key data and resources to assist integrators in choosing products for their companies.
Every integrator on Earth recognizes the importance of selling peripheral equipment with a flat panel or front projector.
When there is little to no margin left on the display itself, those accessories (along with installation labor) are the only way to make money on the job.
Along with A/V cable, there is no accessory category more important and profitable today than mounts and lifts. That’s why proper selection of these high-margin products is vital.
Most likely, every integrator already has his favorite or standard fixed mount, but with the growth of the cantilevered and motorized categories, some integrators might be finding themselves scouring spec sheets and crowding into exhibit booths to find the right brand.
CE Pro is trying to make that workload lighter by providing the first-ever Ultimate Guide to Mounts and Lifts. Use this all-in-one-place guide as a reference for your business.
The guide is available in two formats -- for download as a PDF and for individual viewing by mount.

Does anyone else disagree mounts are a profit center? Any item you can get at Sam’s Club is not a high margin item. It may be that LABOR is profitable but I tire quickly of hearing how much money we make on the mounts themselves. Its rubbish IMO.
It depends on what product lines and products you are talking about. This general comment is true of many of the custom industry’s product lines.

There were several errors in the PDR Mounts section which require clarification. The “F” series mounts were shown as Fixed/Tilt “Type” mounts, but the “Few Words From Manufacturer” section incorrectly repeated the descriptive analysis which is only correct for our THN-series of products. The “F” style products have a Fixed or 5-degree tilt installation option.
This same “Few Words…” repetition error also occurred with the “T” series of PDR mounts, which are zero-through-15-degree tilt type mounts. My entry on the original Excel template sent to CE Pro for this “T” style PDR product read as follows: “EZ-INSTALL, PATENTED QUICK-TILT DESIGN, PREASSEMBLED, ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY DURABLE POWDERCOAT FINISH, LATERAL ADJUST, 100% AMERICAN MADE QUALITY, LOCKABLE SECURITY BAR INCLUDED FOR SECURITY (PADLOCK NOT INCLUDED), LIFETIME MFR WARRANTY, EASY-TO-FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS”.
