SurgeX Adds 11 New Rep Firms

SurgeX, a manufacturer of primarily commercial AC power conditioning and surge elimination products based in Zebulon, N.C., has announced the addition of 11 new rep firms to help grow the its brand in the residential custom installation market.

Under new ownership since December 2008, SurgeX is seeking to enter the residential custom installation market after spending several years focusing on the commercial space. Management’s first step was hiring Rick Komendera as vice president of sales, and tasking him with building the company’s dealer network and developing its dealer support programs.

“It was imperative that our first order of business was to create a strong network of representatives,” says Komendera. “To be effective in this market, you have to have support from a strong dealer and rep base. The groups that we have enlisted read much like a Who’s Who. We are very excited to be working with these firms and are confident in the results that they will bring to SurgeX.”
