Somfy Systems Inc. continues to extend its low voltage, quiet motor offering for window coverings powered by Somfy with the introduction of the new Sonesse 30 RS485 motor.

The new Sonesse 30 RS485 motor provides bidirectional serial communication with 3rd party controls systems eliminating the need for expensive control panels and interfaces. In addition to basic open, close and stop commands, the Sonesse 30 RS485 motor allows for setting each window covering to 16 intermediate positions. Feedback provides confirmation of each motor’s position to ensure precise control from 3rd party systems.

In addition to being quiet and intelligent, the new Sonesse 30 RS485 motor is also powerful and offers discreet blending with the most sophisticated window coverings. Somfy also provides a complete system of accessories designed to simplify installations, facilitate quiet operation and minimize light caps. Its superior performance is only enhanced by the fact that it can also be controlled via RS485 communication with 3rd party control systems.

And as with all Somfy products the new Sonesse 30 RS485 motor is backed by a 5 year warranty and continues to offer users improved functionality while providing additional profit potential for the industry.

Is anyone else having issue with Somfy in regards to getting product? They force us to go through a “fabricator” at ridiculous prices (the parts alone when broken down on the fabricators quote are higher than what we can get them for online and they call us “direct.” We dont want to use THEIR fabricator, just use their products. Anyone doing this?

As a fabricator I am happy to here that our business is being protected. We as fabricators work very hard to maintain our sales. If Somfy allowed everyone to buy direct then the products would end up just like window blinds. You can buy them over the net, home depot ect. ect.

You must have called the wrong fabricator. Check Somfy’s web site for where to buy.
Have you ever tried to buy lutron parts ? You can’t only complete shades .

Joe, as a “fabricator” your “business” is protected when someone wants to buy your “fabric.”

I see this as “you want our tires? Well you have to go to the dealer and by the car that comes with our tires.”
