SnapAV Expands Security Offering with 2 New DVRs
SnapAV bolsters its move into surveillance with 9- and 16-channel DVRs. Integrators will get sneak peek during Nov. 2 CE Pro CCTV webinar.
SnapAV’s new WPS-300-DVR 9-channel DVR is one of the company’s two new security recorders.
Earlier in 2011, as SnapAV prepared for its entrance into the surveillance category, it conducted extensive research among its dealer base. The company found that surveillance was an important and growing area of business, with 89 percent of its dealers using surveillance products, and nearly 60 percent having a surveillance project at least four times each year.
This summer, SnapAV launched its Wirepath line of DVRs and cameras supported by a free iPhone app. Since its market debut, SnapAV reports rapid adoption of the products, with dealers citing an increase in the amount of surveillance jobs they are doing.
Now, SnapAV is launching new 9- and 16-channel DVRs and two new free apps (Android and iPad native) to add to its existing 8-channel DVR and free iPhone app. The new DVRs include features such as: a more powerful processor to capture 2X frame rate; more storage options including additional hard drive space and DVD read/write capability; RS-232 control for integration with home control systems and HDMI video output. The line is also backed by a Double Money-Back Guarantee and training initiatives.
Details on the new security DVRs will be presented on November 2 during the CE Pro webinar "Choosing the Right CCTV Camera for your Surveillance Application." Attendees will receive a sneak-peek at the product line, along with information on:
