Models range from 42-52 inches and have response times up to 6.5ms.
Sharp’s 52-inch LC-52SB55U LCD HDTV
Sharp is expanding its SB series with three new models of LCD HDTVs.
The LC-52SB55U (52 inches), LC-46SB54U (46 inches) and LC-42SB45U (42 inches) feature a 1080p HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080) and come in a glossy black bezel.
The large-screen models also have Sharp's Spectral Contrast Engine and built-in ATSC/QAM/NTSC tuners.
The 52- and 46-inch models have response times of 6ms, while the 42-inch model boasts a 6.5ms repsonse time.
HDMI inputs include: four on the 52-inch model, two on the 46-inch model and three on the 42-inch model.
Each model has a PC input to act as a PC monitor, and the OPC Power Save function automatically adjusts luminance to room brightness and lighting.
Sharp's LC-52SB55U ($2,299.99) and LC-46SB54U ($1,699.99) are both currently available.
Sharp says the LC-42SB54U will ship in September for $1,399.99.
The company also recently introduced a solar-powered LCD.
A new DisplaySearch study says LCD panel shipments grew 6 percent in Q2.
