Separated at Birth: Control4 Nose Automation

Control4 has freshened up its logo. What do you see?

Control4 has been around for several years now, so it's about time to freshen up the company's logo.

The new logo was unveiled at the CEDIA Expo:

So is the partial 4 a Freudian way of acknowledging the capabilities of their system?

If you can dream it, you can make it happen with Control4, you will be hard pressed to find another solution at this price or “4” times the price to do what their products do.  Budget or no budget this system was truly designed to meet the needs of any person who wants automation in their life.  They allow anyone to design apps to interact with their hardware as well as almost any third party devices that is smart enough to receive IR input or as sophisticated as those devices using IP communication and anything in-between using something as simple as Adobe Flash the sky is truly the limit.  My guess would be that the new “4” in the logo is telling us that it would cost at least 4 times as much to use any other automation system.

What a shame that people in this industry write comments against a company that in barely 4 years have done what others like Crestron or AMX haven´t done y 20.  They didn’t take the path Control4 took, the masses, so why so much criticism?  They have done a great job in so few years, of course they have a lot to improve…  but as RDM wrote “If you can dream it, you can make it happen with Control4”.
For me this new logo means that they have evolved from a company that makes hardware and have a software for it,  to the new HA OPERATING SYSTEM that other mayor manufacturers will include in their hardware…. Better together.

Reminds me of “Kilroy was here” . Where’s Jimmy Durante or W.C. Fields when you need them?
