09.08.2007 — New-on-the-scene control manufacturer Savant certainly knows how to throw a party. The company, which last year hosted The Black Crowes, this year threw a party featuring R&B guitarist Jonny Lang. The event was held at the Alto Restaurant, just a few blocks from the convention center. About 100 or so invited guests got to feast on food and drink and then rock out to a long set by Lang and his band.

Lang burst on the music scene back in 1995 at the age of just 14. He still looks like a teenager, but performs like a veteran and has few peers as he wails on the guitar. He was so phenomenal that a crowd gathered outside the restaurant to watch through the windows and listen.
