Salamander Lighting System Brightens Up A/V Cabinets
Salamander Lighting System can light up in and around any compatible TV or A/V cabinet.
Here's a bright idea: Maybe your clients actually want to see what's going on inside that A/V cabinet. Instead of being a dank, dusty place, Salamander Designs is brightening things up with its new Salamander Lighting System.
This modular LED-based illumination solution can highlight the TV, the cabinet, or just part of the cabinet. It's also designed to work with any of Salamander’s accessories, including the Furniture Mate, which is a freestanding mount for HDTVs.
Aside from providing a sneak peek at what's going on inside that A/V cabinet, the Salamander Lighting System can also create ambiance to go with your client's many moods. Whether entertaining one or an entire group, the system can create the perfect lighting for any scenario.
By using LED, the system is built to last, as well as operate at a low cost. Those LEDs are inside narrow rods, which are connected to a 4-port, USB-type control hub. The included remote also allows homeowners to dim the system from the comfort of the couch.
Salamander's basic Lighting System includes two 14-inch long rods, the control hub, and one remote control. Of course, you can also add on with rods ranging from 14 to 23 inches. Starting at $119 for the basic kit, Salamander expects to start selling its Lighting System by the end of September.

Sounds an awful lot like the Illuminaire system many of us have been using for years! Did Salamander buy them out - or is this an OEM deal?
