Richard Gray’s PowerVault 11kW
Richard Gray's is now shipping the PowerVault 11kW, a whole-house power management system.
The PowerVault, first introduced at CEDIA 2007, is a power conditioner, an uninterruptable power supply (UPS) and a surge suppressor.
The output can be put to either 120V or 240V and provides backup power (92 amps) during outages or interruptions to home theaters and automation products, keeping AC circuits up and running.
The PowerVault is designed to be stored in a remote location (basement or A/V closet) and may reside more than a half mile (2,500 ft) from the equipment.
The UPS protection eliminates memory and preset loss to equipment during outages.
Although it's engineered for 11kW of continuous power, the PowerVault can handle over 25kW to start home automation systems, A/V gear and lighting control systems.
Dealers need to be certified before they can start installing.
PowerVault MSRP starts at $29,500.
