ReQuest’s Intelligent Media Client to Hit CEDIA Expo 2008
Available in October, the IMC targets networked multiroom A/V installations.
ReQuest is going to launch its Intelligent Media Client (IMC) at CEDIA Expo 2008, the company announced today.
The IMC is a network device designed to be used in multiroom installation, providing local DVD playback and streaming of online content.
Features include:
"When combined with ReQuest servers, the IMC delivers a complete entertainment ecosystem that includes multiroom music, videos, photos, and Web-based widgets such as weather, stocks, and web-cams," says Peter Cholnoky, CEO of ReQuest.
"The expandable platform empowers home owners to enjoy their CD and DVD content as well as leverage the expanding online services for streaming and downloadable content."
ReQuest says they plan to add NAS options in the fourth quarter for storage expansion.
