Terra-San has acquired Riptopia, the CD and DVD ripping company that was courting potential suitors.

According to the companies, both brands will continue with Riptopia being designated "a Terra-San company."

"Existing clients of both companies can be confident that everything will stay the same with only select areas of change," says Terra-San CEO Joel DeGray.

"We feel that this acquisition gives Terra-San the perfect opportunity to enter the broad-based West Coast digital conversion business and entry level segment of the market with a great name that everyone already respects."

"Riptopia reviewed the 10 or so competitors that have popped up since we founded this CD/DVD processing business 5 years ago and decided to partner with Terra-San for two reasons," says Kurt Beyer, Riptopia CEO.

"First, Terra-San is geographically situated on the East Coast close to many of our AV partners. Second and more importantly, only Terra-San has the technical chops to match Riptopia's quality standards."
