Planar Systems is now shipping the PD8130 and PD8150 1080p single-chip projectors.
The projectors, designed exclusively for home theaters, feature horizontal and vertical lens shift, Dynamic Black and BrilliantColor enhancement and the company's video processor.
Both projectors include ISF (Imaging Science Foundation) day and night calibration memory settings, individual sharpness and noise reduction controls, programmable image memory selection keys, built-in test patterns and a dark room-optimized remote.
The PD8150 provides 1,000 lumens and has a 15,000:1 contrast ratio and HDMI 1.3a with up to 12-bit Deep Color.
The PD8130 has the same design and features, with a 10:000:1 contrast and multiple HDMI and component inputs.
Both projector are available in a high-gloss, piano-black finish. The PD8150 has an MSRP of $7,999, while the PD8130 has an MSRP of $5,999.
