I-stage is a new technology event and competition from the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). The event is designed to uncover new innovative technology products that will soon be hitting the market.
There will be a competition for the best product at i-stage. The winning company will receive $50,000 to help develop its product line, as well as a turnkey booth at the 2009 International CES.
I-stage will be held on October 19-22 and is being co-located with the CEA's Industry Forum at the Four Seasons Hotel in Las Vegas.
"New products not only fuel the consumer technology industry, but also the entire global economy," says CEA president and CEO Gary Shapiro.
"This new competition provides an incredible opportunity for inventors and innovators to show our industry the next generation of dynamic companies and products emerging in the marketplace."

call for entries, which are free, is currently running through August 1. The final round will be held on October 20.
