Home Automation (
HAI) is now shipping its WL3 software for Windows Home Server.
WL3,
introduced in June, allows users to remotely monitor and control HAI home control systems from any IP-enabled device, including the iPhone 2.0 and iPod Touch.
The software enables users to adjust the home's temperatures, lights, security settings and view any supported camera.
WL3 automatically configures supported IP cameras on the home network and allows manual configuration of others. Users can also view cameras in the home of from public IP cameras around town.
WL3 can record video and send emails and text messages. The recorded videos are categorized and can be viewed anytime. It also informs the homeowner if the alarm system is alarmed or disarmed.
The WL3 user interface can be customized with graphics, RSS feeds and more.
WL3 retails for $329 and requires an Ethernet-enabled HAI home control system and a Windows Home Server.
