They offer control of lights, small appliances, security, temperatures, pools, ventilation, whole-home audio systems and more.
The 8P has one USB port, while the 10P includes two.
The touchscreens also include:
- Built-in speakers and microphone with 16-bit audio
- Customizable graphics
- Foreign language support
- A built-in intercom
- Support of IP cameras
- Internet access for RSS feeds
Both models are available in black and have an optional charging dock that includes a USB and an Ethernet port.
HAI, which recently developed a
developer support program, didn't release pricing. The company expects to ship the OmniTouch 8P and OmniTouch 10P in Q4 2008.
