Anthem has released the second-generation model of its Statement D2 A/V processor — V.2.

V.2, demoed at CEDIA Expo 2008, has four more HDMI inputs (eight total) and one more HDMI output (two total) than the original model.

The inputs and outputs are all HDMI 1.3c with Deep Color (36-bit) and HD audio streaming.

It also features an updated VXP digital image processor, which Anthem says offers two independent 12-bit channels of "fully-adaptive" deinterlacing.

The processor also offers:
  • Adaptive 3D noise reduction
  • Mosquito noise reduction
  • Block artifact reduction
  • Detail enhancement featuring sharpness and texture enhancement
  • Adaptive contrast enhancement
Two dual-core DSP engines offer 800 MIPS (million instructions per second) of processing power to allow eight-channel decoding of HD audio formats such Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD High-Resolution Audio and DTS-HD Master Audio.

The Anthem Statement D2 V.2 also supports DVD audio in 7.1 format up to 192 kHz.

Anthem's new Room Correction System (ARC) will be a standard feature on all Statement D2 v.2 preamplifier/processors. Anthem recently added the room correction technology to its AVM 40 and 50 Processors.

MSRP is $7,999.

Integrated 225 Amplifier

Anthem also unveiled its Integrated 225, an integrated amplifier with phono input. The two-channel amp provides a phono preamp input that supports Moving Coil (MC) and Moving Magnet (MM) applications.

The fully-analog Integrated 225 includes seven stereo inputs. Record-Out connectivity is available, along with a universal learning remote and an RS-232 interface.

The Integrated 225 provides 225 watts of power per channel (8 ohm rating) and has solid-state circuitry boards.

MSRP for the Anthem Integrated 225 is $1,499.
