PHC Rebrands as Pro Audio Technology
Loudspeaker and amplifier manufacturer Professional Home Cinema (PHC) changes its name to appeal to broader applications.
Professional Home Cinema (PHC) has announced a new brand name: Pro Audio Technology. The company, which makes DSP-driven loudspeaker and amplifier systems for home cinema installations, believes the new name will help it apply its professional-based engineering expertise to a broader range of residential audio installation applications.
Larry Reagan, vice president, says, “The Pro Audio Technology name conveys a more powerful message to the market—that we’re committed to bringing professional technologies and performance standards not only to the theater, but to distributed audio and other installation applications as well. The stronger, more encompassing name will support our sales reps, international distributors, and dealers as they present PRO products to their customers.”
The company touts its product engineering as producing products with commercial cinema output levels and high dynamics and amplifier power levels. Pro Audio Technology employs digital signal processing to achieve high level frequency response shaping, steep 8th-order crossover slopes, time alignment, and advanced boundary effect correction.
Its speakers use high-sensitivity horn loaded compression drivers and professional grade woofers, while its amplifiers employ Class-D technology to bi-amp (or even quad-amp) with system power ranging from 2,500 to as much as 25,000 watts.

@Larry
This looks like an amazing fit for high end theater. We utilize QSC product quite a bit in our boutique commercial projects and use their DSPs, amplifiers with data ports and feedback, and speakers.
This seems like a residential friendly equivalent.
Do you have a demo system somewhere to hear these?
Best,
