Peter Wellikoff to Leave Meridian
Meridian America CEO Peter Wellikoff is leaving the company at the end of 2012.
He was appointed to that post shortly after Meridian acquired Sooloos.
Prior to Sooloos, Wellikoff was president and CEO of B&W Group from 1995 to 2007, managing the brands B&W, Classe and Rotel. Before that, he held executive positions with Kloss Video, Tandberg Audio and Philips Audio Video Systems.
Meridian Audio, headquartered in England, announced Wellikoff’s departure as a footnote to a press release called, “Meridian to Strengthen Presence in U.S. Market.”
In the release, Meridian Audio CEO Tim Ireland says, “From 1 January 2013 Meridian will fully integrate our US operations within Meridian Audio Limited enabling our excellent team of US-based staff to collaborate directly with our UK headquarters, utilizing the increased resources available to reinforce support for our partners and engage with customers throughout America.”
Executive VP John Buchanan will lead Meridian’s “newly integrated global sales and marketing team.”
Buchanan comments:
“This is an exciting time for Meridian and our US business partners. We are continuing to drive our brand forward developing greater business opportunities through our unique relationships with Jaguar, Land Rover and McLaren Automotive, as well as through our work with HP which is exposing the Meridian name to thousands of new US consumers every day.”
