The Indigo 3.0 home automation server for Mac OS X allows you to remotely control lighting, thermostats, sprinklers and more.
The Indigo 3.0 integrates thermostats, controls HVAC and sprinklers and can operate after the Mac is off.
Users can remotely control thermostats from any Web browser, including Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch browsers.
Indigo’s new INSTEON link allows users to remotely define lighting scenes, with old settings copied to the Indigo 3.0 with the press of a button.
“The primary focus of this release was to add the additional home automation hardware support our customers have requested so that Indigo can provide a complete, whole-house automation solution for them,” says Perceptive Automation president Matt Bendiksen.
“With the additional INSTEON hardware supported, users can now control their home’s HVAC, create complex lighting scenes, control sprinklers, and even use their existing home theater IR remote controls for home automation.”
Indigo also allows for remote home control from Bluetooth-enabled devices or any touch-tone telephone.
More developers, like Z-Wave, which introduced Houseport at CES, are starting to produce home automation solutions for Macs because of the amount of devices Macs offer.
The Indigo 3.0 is available now for $179.95.
Indigo 2.0 customers are eligible for a free upgrade, and all Indigo 1.x customers are eligible for a $90 credit toward the purchase of 3.0.
