Peerless PeerAir Combines Mount with Wireless HD Streaming

Remember the old Reese's Peanut Buttercup commercial where the great flavors of chocolate and peanut butter get combined for the first time?

Peerless-AV thinks it has stumbled upon the same great combination.

Its new PeerAir Wireless Mounting Solutions line of indoor and outdoor wireless mounts can also stream full HD 1080p 60Hz content to flat-panel TVs and projectors up to 131 feet away. The mounts eliminate the time-consuming, sometimes prohibitive, job of running cable and open up screen and projector placement opportunities that previously were not possible.

The PeerAir Wireless Mounting Solutions, which debuted at CES 2012, include indoor and outdoor wireless articulating arms and tilt wall mounts, a mobile cart, and a wireless projector mount. The combination of the wireless A/V transmitter built into the mount can be useful for integrators who cannot run cables due to environmental constraints such as mirrored/glassed walls, historic sites, complex cable runs, or safety/code issues.

The wireless system can beam the signal through a 131-foot sphere, so users can leave the content delivery devices where they are and mount the screen or projector in a different room, a floor above or below, or even outdoors.

This products are powered by Peerless' HD Flow Wireless Multimedia Kit that includes features like reverse IR to control content devices remotely, multi-casting to stream up to four screens or projectors from a single transmitter, and WPA2 security protocols.

Peerless says the PeerAir products can get wireless content streaming up and running in less than three minutes. Each product comes with a Peerless mount, HD Flow Wireless Multimedia Kit, power and cabling provisions, even short-length HDMI cables specified to fit neatly behind the screen.

PeerAir Wireless Mounting Solutions include models to fit from 37 inches to 65 inches screens and projectors weighing up to 50 lbs:
