Several outstanding products debuted in the CE pro channel in 2012; here we highlight not the best products, but some of the most significant launches of the year.

CE Pro can’t claim to know the “best” products of 2012, but we can certainly highlight some of the most significant product stories of the year.

For example, Crestron’s entering the motorized shade business was a pretty big deal.

Autonomic and Kaleidescape employing UltraViolet streaming and download technology was also substantial for our market.

These product launches portend new things to come in the CE channel, such as wireless audio, affordable control systems and high-quality digital content.

Here we highlight several of the important product launches of 2012. They include:

Kaleidescape download store with UltraViolet

Savant integrated keypads
