CE Pro can’t claim to know the “best” products of 2012, but we can certainly highlight some of the most significant product stories of the year.
For example, Crestron’s entering the motorized shade business was a pretty big deal.
Autonomic and Kaleidescape employing UltraViolet streaming and download technology was also substantial for our market.
These product launches portend new things to come in the CE channel, such as wireless audio, affordable control systems and high-quality digital content.
Here we highlight several of the important product launches of 2012. They include:
Crestron motorized shades
Stewart Filmscreen Cima line
Autonomic MMS-5AV with UltraViolet
Kaleidescape download store with UltraViolet
Control4 HC-800 controller
URC Total Control
Savant integrated keypads
Prima Cinema digital media server
NuVo wireless audio
Cleerline NSF fiber optics
Lutron Sivoia cellular shades
Sony 4K Ultra HD with 4K content
