Moondog Digital and Double Century Software Merge
Combination creates a single media conversion and software company. Crestron, Kaleidescape partnerships announced also.
Moondog Digital and Double Century Software have merged to provide both media conversion software and services under one company.
"The growth of each individual organization will now combine to create new cross-market synergies," says Craig Kelker, president of Moondog Digital.
"Running each group individually since 2004 allowed for each group to serve different markets. As each company expanded services and offerings, the lines started to blur."
Double Century's hands-free CD ripping and DVD processing product, RoboStation, will be rebranded under the Moondog Digital name. New partnerships with companies like Crestron Electronics, Kaleidescape, and Russound have fallen under the Moondog Digital brand.
The merger of back office systems, long-standing partnerships, and other collateral will continue throughout calendar year 2008.
"As the media conversion industry has matured, we want to leverage the expertise and abilities of both our technical staff and our seasoned conversion processes and programs," says Kelker. "This merger is another step solidifying Moondog Digital's place as an industry leader."
Meanwhile, the company announced that it has been accredited by Crestron Electronics for its Integrated Partner Program.
Crestron Adagio custom installers can now send music collections to Moondog Digital for loading directly onto an Adagio System, external USB hard drive, or DVDRom discs. With a central location, eighty percent of the US is within 3 days of shipping.
Moondog Digital tailored its CD data grooming process to deliver a digital music library for the Adagio Audio Server.
Also, Moondog Digital has been named as a Kaleidescape Loading Service Provider. Moondog Digital will offer CD and DVD loading services for the Kaleidescape lineup of products. Moondog Digital's advantage is their central location, which allows for short shipping durations.
Moondog Digital can cover 80 percent of the United States in shipping times of 3 days or less.
