Monster Named HES ‘Primary Accessories Provider’
Company's headphones, mounts, power conditioning and cables to be promoted by buying group. "Major kick-off" of partnership will occur at CEDIA Expo in September.
Monster is partnering with the Home Entertainment Source (HES) buying group as a designated “Primary Accessories Provider” for all its retail members. The partnership will officially kick off at CEDIA Expo 2011 with a range of planned activities. Earlier this year, HES merged with the PRO Group to form ProSource, the country’s largest CE buying group, with 550 retailers, custom integrators and specialty dealers and over 1,000 storefronts across the country.
As an HES Primary Accessories Provider, Monster will work with the buying group and its members to ensure that all Monster products, including connectivity solutions, power conditioning products, flatscreen TV mounts, headphones, mobile accessories and more, are "merchandised and promoted for maximum sales," says a press release. Monster is also creating a specially customized version of its M5 training program specifically designed for HES retailer members.
Noel Lee, head monster, notes, “Independent retailers, custom integrators and specialty retailers have always been a very important and valued part of Monster’s business. Thanks to this new alliance, we will now be using HES as our primary distributor for specialty retail in the future, and while we will still conduct direct business with retailers in the segment, we will now be able to combine our strengths with those of the HES distribution system to service HES dealers with faster shipments of goods, larger quantity orders and other enhanced efficiencies.”
