MODIA Becomes Authorized Apple Reseller

CE Pro 100 integrator MODIA Home Theater Store will bring an Apple 'store-within-a-store' concept to its seven locations in Houston, Dallas and Austin.

MODIA has become one of the few custom integrators in the nation to earn status as an Apple Authorized Reseller.

MODIA Home Theater Store, No. 5 on the CE Pro 100, has been named an Authorized Apple Reseller.

MODIA, one of only a few custom integrator in the nation to earn such status, will showcase a full range of Apple products in each of its seven stores in Houston, Dallas, and Austin, Texas.

"We see this as a perfect match," says Mihir Mody, CEO of MODIA Home Theater. "Apple is the gold standard in product innovation, design and marketing. At MODIA, we've spent years creating a unique retail environment designed to help customers imagine and understand how technology can be seamlessly integrated into their distinct home and office lives. We strive to enhance the individual, emotional connection people can have with lifestyle technology ... and Apple is masterful at providing an integral, elegant link."

In a crowded consumer electronics retail space, MODIA is pairing upscale audio and video components with proprietary media furniture and installation. Even though Apple products typically do not offer integrators product margin, the benefits of having increased traffic to the stores is a strong benefit.

"Since the introduction of the iPod, Apple products have played an integral role in our design process," continues Mody. "With Apple's continued expansion of lifestyle and communication technologies, it only makes sense their presence in our solutions would grow as well."

MODIA customers will be able to "see and feel how seamlessly automated home and office features - security, audio/video, climate control, lighting - can be woven together and controlled locally or remotely through Apple technology," notes Mody.

"This new relationship with Apple will now allow all of our customers to fully experience how Apple products can create a simplified, user-friendly and single-source interface that unifies all their lifestyle technology. While the customer can buy Apple products at many other retailers, our plans are to present and demonstrate their entire line in a very unique way. MODIA is in a 'hands-on, real-time' business. And this kind of showcase for Apple products simply isn't available anywhere else."
