Mitsubishi Intros New LCD, DLP TVs

An 82-inch 3D ready DLP TV headlines the new class of 737 and 837 Series, while Unisen LCDs feature 5.1 channel, 16-speaker audio bar.

The MSRP for the WD-82737 is $4,199

If you like big screens and 3D technology, check out Mitsubishi's new 737 and 837 series of DLP rear-projection TVs.

The 737 Series brings 1080p to four screen sizes: 60, 65, 75 and 82 inches. All feature 3D-Ready viewing technology.

The models include Smooth 120Hz, an Advanced Video Calibration Mode, JADE activity based user interface, improved DeepField Imager, SharpEdge video noise reduction, ultra-thin frames and 6-Color Processor (which Mitsubishi claims provides significantly more color reproduction than typical flat panel TVs). All models are EnergyStar 3.0 qualified.

The 837s also feature four HDMI inputs (1.3a), NetCommand home networking system, USB media input, ISFccc certification, and RS-232C control interface.

The 737 and 837 series are available now. Here's a breakdown of the pricing by series:

737 Series
  • WD-60737 - $1,499.00
  • WD-65737 - $1,799.00
  • WD-73737 - $2,499.00
  • WD-82737 - $4,199.00
837 Series
  • WD-65837 - $2,199.00
  • WD-73837 - $2,999.00
  • WD-82837 - $4,999.00
Mitsubishi is also rolling out a new Unisen line of LCD TVs. These displays come with a built-in 5.1 channel, 16-speaker audio bar. You also get 120Hz, four HDMI 1.3a inputs, USB media port and the ultra-thin frame design.

  • 40-inch ($1,799)
  • 46-inch ($2,199)

153 Series

All Unisen models will ship in May.

Please, if you can, tell me when and where I can order a 737 series dlp tv ? I have checked as of today, and no one has any in or any info. on when they might be coming in. Thank you, Glen.
