Mitsubishi Intros iSP 149 Series LCDs
Series comes in 46- and 52-inch models that create 5.1 surround sound.
Mitsubishi is introducing its Ultra Thin Frame Premium Flat Panel TV with Integrated Sound Projector (iSP) -- the 149 Series.
The new series comes in 46-inch (LT-46149) and 52-inch (LT-52149) models with integrated 16-speaker sound projectors that create 5.1 channel sound from a single cabinet speaker attached below the TV screen.
An On-Screen Display allows users to specify the dimensions of different rooms to adjust the sound in different listening environments.
The TVs have four HDMI 1.3a inputs, RS232 and a USB input. The TVs are CableCard ready to offer connections to digital cable without a settop box.
The 149 Series features 120Hz Film Motion, and users can display HD art and photography with GalleryPlayer software, which can be downloaded and loaded onto a USB drive.
Images can be selected from GalleryPlayer's library of photos from National Geographic, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and others.
Other video features include PerfectTint, SharpEdge, Deep Color, x.v.Color, DeepField Imager and a 6-color processor.
Mitsubishi expects to ship the LT-46149 and LT-52149 in July for $3,299 and $3,699, respectively.
