Linear to OEM security, PERS, CCTV, More
Nortek Co. will build product to suit for integrators in areas of radio frequency (RF), PERS, security, access control, CCTV, A/V, digital electronics and electrical/mechanical solutions, and garage door operators
Linear LLC, a division of Nortek, has announced the formation of its new Business Development Group, which will support several new markets and existing customers interested in customized product solutions ranging from individual components to private labeling (OEM), and new product design and development (ODM).
“We’re making this group official,” says Todd Hokunson, vice president of the Business Development Group. “Linear has informally provided OEM services for many years, but with a growing volume in requests from customers and the changing market landscape, Linear decided to leverage and formalize these service offerings for new markets.”
The Business Development Group offers integrated design, engineering and manufacturing processes, and will focus on serving large, national systems integrators. Organizations that have developed their own Intellectual Property, but do not have the resources to act on it, now have a dedicated resource to get their ideas to market.
Linear’s OEM and ODM services are available in a variety of electronic product categories including radio frequency (RF), PERS, security solutions, access control, CCTV, audio/video, digital electronics and electrical/mechanical solutions, and garage door operators.

Great news for installation companies that want to commit big to a 3rd tier manufacture that doesn’t know who they are and hasn’t made significant new technology in years.
