06.04.2008 — Leviton is introducing its new line of Vizia + products that consists of the Vizia lighting controls with enhanced green features.

The re-designed line of dimmers, fan speed controls and Z-Wave-enabled RF lighting controls has an Energy Save Mode that lets users set the maximum brightness level below 100 percent.

An Almost Off setting on Vizia + is designed for areas that must be in operation 24 hours a day.

"Users can set the off level to a low light level so that lights are on at reduced energy consumption," says Selin Glickman, Leviton director of marketing management and residential products.

The new products have a row of horizontal LEDs to show brightness levels and an enlarged push pad to turn the device on and off.

Vizia RF + devices comply with Z-Wave's protocol, offering control of lights and household appliances with the touch of a remote.

Vizia RF + is fully compatible with Vizia + matching dimmer/switch remotes and Vizia RF products.

These actually look like they turned out to be a nice upgrade. I like how the push pads are just a bit larger now, which makes for an improved touch response. Also the Dimmers have more Fade Rate choices. Excellent!
