iPad Sales Surpass 300,000 on First Day
iPad owners downloaded more than 1 million iPad apps and 250,000 e-books on Saturday, according to Apple.
Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster estimates there were 730 customers waiting to get inside the Apple Store on Fifth Avenue in New York on the iPad’s launch day.
Apple says it sold more than 300,000 iPads on the first day, including pre-ordered iPads sent to customers, retail sales, and deliveries to partners.
