Iogear Wireless 3D Media Kit Streams Content 100’ from 5 Sources
Iogear's Wireless 3D Media Kit streams 1080p with 3D support and 5.1 digital audio up to 100 feet from up to five components.
Iogear announced at CES 2012 its Wireless 3D Media Kit (GW3DMKIT) with four HDMI inputs and one component input, allowing up to five components to be placed without wires running to the display or projector.
Iogear says the Wireless 3D Media Kit can stream content up to 100 feet through standard walls, enabling multi-room scenarios, using the Wireless Home Digital Interface (WHDI) standard, which can deliver video rates of up to 1080p in the 5Ghz unlicensed band. There's even an analog input to hook up old-school components.
The Wireless 3D Media Kit consists of a wireless 3D transmitter and wireless 3D receiver. Users can connect a Blu-ray player, DVR/Set-top Box, DVD player, Media Server or computer. The USB port on the GW3DMKIT is ideal as a wireless keyboard / mouse connection, allowing mobile control of a home theater PC or laptop.
“The ability to place a TV anywhere within 100 feet of a source component provides great value in a home or office A/V setup,” says Bill Nguyen, senior marketing manager for Iogear. “The Iogear Wireless 3D Media Kit lets you conveniently share content around the home without the unsightly wires or a visible rack of equipment, something style and space-conscious users can appreciate.”
Additional features of the IOGEAR Wireless 3D Media Kit (GW3DMKIT) include:
