Inteset’s Vana VA6420-Sx Entry-Level Media Center
Includes movie management, multizone music, and third-party control options.
Inteset, developer of advanced entertainment systems based on Windows Media Center, is now offering a souped-up Media Center at an entry level price.
Featuring the same small, quiet form factor of its Vana Media extender (not the official Media Center Extender), the Vana VA6420-Sx Standalone system comes with up to 500GB of storage, a second audio zone for multi-zone music, DVD movie management, and advanced control capabilities.
"It's the perfect solution for the Media Center newcomer," explains David Hirsh, in charge of Inteset business development. "Inteset offers products that can grow with the customer needs and budget. Dealers that introduce their customers to Windows Media Center can start out with the Vana Standalone model. If the customer wants whole-home audio, it's there. If they later want advanced, bi-directional control, it's there. Down the road, they can easily upgrade to a full-fledged Inteset server and use the Vana as an A/V extender."
The company believes the product will hold particular appeal for the multi-dwelling unit (MDU) market.
The Vana VA6420-Sx Standalone system is Exceptional Innovation Lifeware certified and can be controlled by Crestron and AMX control systems.
Like all Inteset products, the VA6420-Sx is available only through authorized dealers. The product is expected to retail for less than $4,000.
