Integrate NuVo Wireless Audio with Control4 via Extra Vegetables
Extra Vegetables will demo NuVo Wireless Music System driver for Control4 at ISE 2013
With EV’s new NuVo Wireless Player, users can control their music via Contro4 over IP. There is no need for IR or serial communications.
To commission the NuVo system within Control4, integrators define the NuVo wireless player (or zone in the case of the three-zone P3100) as the audio end point and audio volume control for the room.
Since the NuVo players have a line-in option for a local source, that source can be accessed through the Control4 interface, along with the streaming services available through NuVo—Pandora, SiriusXM, TuneIn and Rhapsody.
Currently, you cannot search Internet music stations through a Control4 interface, according to EV, but a forthcoming 4Store app Pandonuvo will provide search capabilities and allow users to add and play Pandora stations via the NuVo wireless system.
Another caveat: “It is currently not possible to join NuVo wireless player zones using the Control4 zones page,” EV warns. “This is something we are looking at for a later release of the driver but should not be promised to your customers at this stage.”
And if you bought a shiny new Sony receiver with Control4 inside (STR-DA5800ES or STR-DA2800ES) … sorry.
“They are not able to discover the NuVo players on the network,” according to EV. You’ll need a full-blown Control4 hub, either an HC250 or HC800.

What’s the point to have Nuvo streaming player in Europe if Pandora Music Service same as SiriusXM is not available over there!!!!!!
Its limited to north america only!!!!!
Doesnt make any sense to buy this crap!!
Unless Nuvo replace firmware for Europe with Tuba.Fm service and Fabrykamuzy.pl which is 10 times better than garbage Pandora!!!!!
