Integra DTR-6.9 Receiver is THX Select2 Plus Certified
Has four HDMI inputs that are upscaled to 1080p with Faroudja's DCDi Cinema technology.
The DTR-6.9 is Integra’s first A/V receiver to earn THX Select2 Plus Certification.
08.19.2008 — Integra has introduced its first A/V receiver to carry the new THX Select2 Plus Certification – the DTR-6.9.
The 7x100 DTR-6.9 A/V receiver features HDMI v1.3a switching, 1080p Faroudja DCDi upscaling, onboard decoding for lossless and HD audio formats and multizone/multisource capabilities.
The designation includes the new THX Loudness Plus volume control technology. This new processing algorithm compensates for the tonal and spatial shifts that occur when the volume level is reduced below the reference levels the original soundtrack was mastered for.
For instance, by slightly increasing the relative volume of the ambient sound at lower volumes, the impact of movies, music and games is closer to what the sound engineer originally intended.
The DTR-6.9, which will be displayed at Integra's booth (837) at CEDIA Expo 2008, features four HDMI inputs and is fully compatible with HDMI v. 1.3a, including 1080p and Deep Color 36-bit video signals.
All HDMI inputs are upscaled to 1080p using Faroudja's DCDi Cinema technology.
Other features include:
For simplified setup, the DTR-6.9 includes Audyssey's MultEQ room acoustics correction, as well as the Audyssey's Dynamic EQ algorithm. This refines the frequency response and surround levels to compensate for deteriorations in the listening experience at different volumes.
These functions work together to tailor the receiver's output to correct for room acoustics, listening position and playback-level distortions.
The DTR-6.9 is capable of processing two audio sources simultaneously for both the main and second zones and includes a dedicated high-definition capable Zone 2 component video output.
It features a selectable fixed/variable line level Zone 2 output to feed a dedicated zone receiver or amplifier. The Integra's Powered Zone 2 feature, which employs two of the receiver's internal amplifier channels to power speakers in a second room while simultaneously providing a full 5.1 channel home theater system in the main room.
The main zone reverts to 7.1-channel output when Zone 2 is turned off.
For the second zone there are independent controls for bass, treble, balance, maximum volume and power-on volume. There is even a separate Zone 2 subwoofer output for rooms employing subwoofer/satellite speaker systems.
The DTR-6.9 is now available from Integra dealers for $1,000.
