200K is cheap for the equipment list and programming.
Sounds about right in cost. This is definitely a hobby project.
Clarification: *Not a hobby project.
Nice work. Price is right.
Nice use of the DirecTV Pro receivers. Rarely see them and they look fantastic. Kscape here, Kscape there, Everywhere a Kscape
. I think im in love.
$200K is a fair price for what amounts to a full blown Crestron system with multiple sub systems and no corners cut as far as A/V sources.
User interface looks custom, i don’t recognize it. Anyone have any info about it?

Thank you to everyone for the great comments. This was a great project that turned out to be very fun and rewarding.
The interface was custom written for this project by Tom Milpacher and his staff at Infusebox (http://www.infusebox.com). They helped with the complex engineering, including the custom power switching system and lighting control application. There are a lot of creature comforts in this system which don’t get noticed in the pictures or article that truly make it unique. One of the best features is the remote access we have to the coach to monitor all systems and provide support and modification no matter where the coach is parked.
Feel free to contact me with any questions. Take care,
Daniel
I guess he has the money to buy into the Kaleidescape snake oil.
Next thing you will tell me Greenberg is that surround sound is a waste of money and everyone should stick to stereo because we only have 2 ears.
