HAI Automation Studio Makes Customization Easier
HAI calls it a drag and drop program and says the OmniTouch Portable and OmniTouch 5.7e ship fully functional out of the box.
The HAI Automation Studio is intended to make it easier for installers to customize interfaces. The company says removing buttons and modifying fonts and colors is simple. It includes an image gallery of buttons with various colors and sizes.
If installers choose to, they can add floor plans, create specific room pages, use personal images for backgrounds and incorporate their company logos using HAI Automation Studio.
It also lets installers configure buttons that coordinate both HAI automation functions and IR controls. The HAI IR database includes over 300,000 IR codes with the ability to “learn-in” any additional codes, according to the company.
HAI’s Automation Studio is expected to ship April 1.

The HAI Automation Studio is a drag and drop program, intended to allow installers to easily customize interfaces.

It could be geographic. In the Pacific Northwest, it seems there is no such thing as a water heater, its only hot water heaters.
Bradclit,
HAI’s products consistently are awarded for their reliability and functions, including 5 awards recently by the Consumer Electronics Association.
Not real life scenarios? Is this why they have thousands of systems installed in 90 countries, over 1000 dealers, and have been around for 24 years?
I have been an installer now for 2 years and find the HAI platform to far suceed alot of others!
and yes it is “hot water heater” here too.

Hello Everybody!!
I can tell you first hand HAI has a bunch more planned for 2009. We are in talks to purchase Control4 soon.
Sure will be a Great time to be a HAI dealer.
H
Harold et al,
No talks are underway for HAI to buy out any companies, nor for HAI to be purchased by any entity.
HAI does indeed have quite a bit more planned for 2009. This includes complete audio/video control, fully customizable touchscreens, and additional Connectivity Partners, just to mention what we’ve already announced. Add this to our increasing Developer Support program which provides the HAI SDK, allowing others to develop products for HAI systems.
And it would be “an HAI” dealer. Just like “an AMX” dealer.

You sound defensive…. Get my remark more than you want… I know I here it often…
That was just CEA… How much did you sponsor this year…

Your comment just proves ignorance follows ignorance… I certainly want you installing the next HAI system into a home…
HAI is my limits when i am involved in automation… I would like to compare manhood, and i will a little… I work with much more reliable and quality automation vendors… 10 years now…
Not sure how 2 years gives you a big picture of things…
bradclit:
You look like an idiot here. Why don’t you stop posting and quit looking like such a moron.
1. Of course Greg was being “defensive” in regards to your blatantly slanderous remarks about HAI.
2. You are an idiot.
Wow, such hostility to defend something that is obviously a sore spot…
didn’t mean to push your buttons…
you must be on a service call now… Struggling with your wits…
How am i being an idiot… I pointed out what the issue was… that is the idiotic part… who would put “Hot Water Heater” on their website for the whole world to see… Then have their loyal fanbase defend the term “Hot Water heater”...
geez… why would i want a bunch of arrogant HAI delears installing my stuff now… great show of responsibility… At least the HAI employee said something constructive…

This is from a company who calls water heaters… hot water heaters…
not too much intelligence from these guys… i wouldn’t hold my breath for this to work very well along with all their other less than desirable products… more for a hobby and not for real life scenarios…
just check out their website and try not to get hung up on the amount of spelling errors…
