09.11.2008 — Gefen's new 1:5 Splitter for HDMI over CAT5 splits a single HDMI source and delivers it to five displays simultaneously.

The rack-mountable unit also can extend the 1080p signal to four displays up to 45 meters (150-feet) over CAT5 cables.

Resolutions up to 1080i can be extended even further to 90 meters (300-feet).

The 1:5 Splitter is compatible with all HDMI devices, including gaming consoles, settop boxes and Blu-ray players.

MSRP is $2,249.

Gefen introduced its Wireless for HDMI Extender at CEDIA Expo 2008. It uses Amimon's 5GHz wireless technology to extend HDMI signals 90 feet.
