05.12.2009 — Digital Delivery Group (DDG), a collection of regional distributors, is packaging Z-Wave automation systems for dealers.
The five packages include wireless remote controls, dimmers, thermostats and other Z-Wave compatible devices from Universal Electronics Inc. (Nevo remotes), Leviton and Wayne Dalton.
"I’ve lived with these products in my own house from the time the software was in beta testing," says Michael Sajecki, President of DDG Florida. "Now we can finally share the experience with our dealers.
Integrators who specify any of DDG's Z-Wave packages receive all the hardware, plus a disc that includes DDG’s pre-configured Nevo 2.0 software for the packages; video tutorials; printable Nevo, Leviton and Wayne-Dalton literature for customers; information on Nevo’s Certified Dealer Program; and DDG's IR Library featuring brands such as Mitsubishi, Panasonic Pro and TiVo.
once again david kaplan demonstrates two very important things, 1. foresight re the latest trends that will dominate this industry and 2. how a seasoned veteran in the “legacy ce” industry is agile enough to adopt, aling and deploy the latest digital technologies. now if ddg can only open new avenues in the arena of content deleivery and management, then he has found the holy grail to resurrect a movement that will accelerate adoption of pc centic entertainment/automation hardware, software, peripherals and service. ra ra david keep promoting the leading edge ... it will pop for ya (us) soon
