Crestron’s TPMC-4SM Wall Mount Touchpanel Media Center is a Power over Ethernet (PoE) solution.


07.02.2009 — Crestron's new Wall Mount Touchpanel Media Center is a Power over Ethernet (PoE) solution, designed to provide CE pros with single-wire retrofit solution.

The TPMC-4SM Isys i/O 4.3-inch is a compact and affordable option for CE pros doing commercial, education, hospitality and residential projects.

Crestron says the TPMC-4SM is ideal for retrofits, renovations and new-constructions where cutting holes is impractical or undesirable.

  • Provides direct LAN connectivity for powerful room scheduling and control

Single-wire Ethernet Solutions on Rise


Single-wire Ethernet solutions seem to be gaining steam. Harman recently showed several new Ethernet AVB products, which it says are designed for commercial and residential project.

Existing wire solutions, in general, are a hot category. Russound will release its powerline-based Collage multiroom audio system in October.

And at InfoComm 2009, ZeeVee was touting an upgraded version of its ZvPro 250 HD video distribution system, which sends 1080i over coax.
