Crestron Engineering Fair Draws over 200 Job Seekers
Crestron held a job fair at its Rockleigh, N.J. headquarters that drew more than 200 job seekers.
Crestron Electronics says its first Engineering Career Fair attracted more than 200 candidates to the company’s world headquarters in Rockleigh, N.J.
The job seeking event was held last week at the company's technology campus that includes the 100,000 sq. ft. Crestron Research Center, and since the Research Center opened in April 2007, the N.J.-based company has expanded its engineering staff by hiring 150 additional hardware and software engineers. Currently the company is seeking to fill 40 new engineering positions.
“The Research Center and all of its resources have really accelerated the rate at which we develop new technologies and product concepts,” explains Vincent Bruno, director of marketing, Crestron Electronics.
“Hiring even more engineering talent will allow us to use that momentum to bring more products to market faster.”
Holding the event at Crestron headquarters gave the 200 plus job seekers the opportunity to see the latest control and communication technology being developed, tested and produced; it allowed them to speak directly with department heads, and tour the 8,000-square foot Crestron Experience Center, where Bruno says they could see the technologies on display.
"To really understand the extent and ‘wow’ factor of our offerings, you have to see products in context; it’s a truly eye-opening experience,” notes Bruno.
