Control4 Lets Consumers Build ‘Favorites’ List on the Fly
Simply press the ever-present star button on any Control4 page
Control4 keeps doing these little things that no one else seems to be doing in the home automation space, and I am becoming a bigger fan every day.
The 4Store app store is ingenious, and it’s a wonder that no one else is doing it.
The latest innovation, demonstrated during CES 2010, is a shortcut button that lets users bookmark any Control4 page to build a library of favorites.
It’s so easy, even an editor can do it. Just press the ever-present star button on the screen.
The favorites appear in a single screen for easy access. Here at CES, Control4 has a favorites list that includes a traffic camera, a “Chicago” station on Rhapsody, and a report of motion-sensor activity.
You can even associate macros with the bookmarked pages.
Duh! Why didn’t I think of that first?

Press the star button to add a page to favorites.

You can associate a macro with the shortcut.

The shortcuts populate a Favorites page -- no costly programming required.

My brother programmed this function. I’m so proud of him!
