“The Consumer Electronics Association CEO Gary Shapiro is a huge Romney fan.”

Did anyone poll the Knee Pad industry?

Personally sick of Shapiro’s rants about politics.

I’m not convinced of the value of these news-lets when it comes to matters political; clearly the best results are achieved with cooperative efforts to insure our competitive footing in the global market.  A wasted focus on provincial approaches to social, economic and regulatory issues makes us less competitive even within our own loal markets.

The greatest issues we face as an industry relate to government-supported public infrastructure and regulatory bodies in continental Europe and the Pacific rim, which directly affect the manner in which products and technologies are developed, manufactured, tested and supported over the long term.

I would also be very careful to distinguish between the needs of the construction industry in our own country and teh CE industry as a whole, as regards labor and operational regulations–especially as our business model re-orients itself toward retrofit work requiring high-technology skilled labor (often subcontracted), as well as a migration toward a subcontracted consulting model on the product development side.

Now that Mr. Romney has been relegated back to where the trees are the “right height”, we can all focus on better things!  I am SOOOOO glad this election is over and done with, and I will bet most everyone else is too.

I too wish Shapiro would STFU!

In other news…28% of the CEPRO top 100 list lives in reality.
