BICSI, PSA Security Network Partner on IP Training
Telecomm association's Electronic Safety and Security (ESS) Designer credential will be presented to PSA buying group members.
BICSI, the 23,000-member telecomm association supporting the information technology systems (ITS), has partnered with PSA Security Network (PSA), an electronic security buying group, to promote IP security training and credentialing.
Electronic safety and security technology is rapidly evolving and has integrated beyond the network grid. BICSI’s security credential, the Electronic Safety and Security (ESS) Designer, covers IP convergence, IP video surveillance, access control and intrusion detection systems.
As part of the deal, the groups will co-market the security programs of each organization, highlighting PSA’s security-related educational opportunities and BICSI’s ESS Design credential, as well as related courses and publications. In addition, the agreement allows for reciprocal coverage in the organizations’ industry publications, and booth space and speaking opportunities at both BICSI and PSA’s conferences.
“This partnership is an essential step toward increasing the visibility and knowledge of both organizations’ education, training and credentialing in the field of electronic safety and security,” says BICSI president Brian Hansen. “BICSI is eager to work closely with PSA in the coming months to accomplish that goal.”
“We are delighted to have a partnership with BICSI,” says PSA’s president and CEO, Bill Bozeman. “Our integrators are focusing more and more on network-based technology, and the educational advantages BICSI has to offer in this space are second to none. We look forward to working with BICSI to accelerate our security integrators’ capabilities and success in network-driven technology deployments.”
